102 Pine Knoll Dr., Greenville, SC 29609. Tickets went for
only $5.00 with a donation of a canned good for Loaves & Fishes.
Olivia recieved a trophy and a $500 cash
prize courtesy of
three hours of recording studio time at
Greenville, and will automatically be placed in
Nashville Connection—Heroes Salute competition as a finalist,
under the category of singer. She will compete on September 20, 2013 in
front of a Celebrity Judge panel with 25 other pre-chosen finalists from
all around the country at The Hyatt in Greenville, SC. She
will also be given a free workshop pass for September 19 to connect and
learn from top award-winning music industry professionals in every
aspect of the music business. Coach Robert Hoefer will be one of our
The Winners of The
Nashville Connection in the singer and songwriter categories will be
given an award on stage at the Heroes Salute Gala, September 21, 2013 in
the Hyatt Ballroom. They will also be featured as the opening act before
the Celebrity A-list Artist performs. They will walk The Red Carpet
"Star Walk" that evening and will be photographed with VIPs and
Celebrities. Both winners will receive 25,000 dollars of opportunity and
development prizes from The Nashville Connection—Heroes Salute.
The remaining five
finalists from The Best Singer in the District/State Competition receive a 50% discount into the workshops to be held at the Hyatt on
September 19, 2013. These workshops are taught by top industry
professionals and include seminars on vocal technique, songwriting,
composition, social media, publishing and A&R, image consulting, and
Brittney "Ms. B" Brackett of SoulTrax and Kenny "The
Mac" Miles for JAMZ 107.3

Who Competes: Contest is open to all students enrolled in
your district's public schools

purpose of the Best Singer in the School District competition is to
identify, encourage, motivate, promote, and reward vocal music
development and excellence within South Carolina's school
districts while providing needed financial funds and support for
your school's music departments.
